Until recently, there was a 13-step process in place for GCs and Architects using Procore and Newforma. Now, it's only 4 steps. We're going to show you how.
Newforma’s Workflow Connector for Procore streamlines and simplifies construction contract administration by allowing the construction team and the design team to each work in their preferred software solution.
Once granted access to the Procore project, it can be linked to a Newforma project by an administrator. Once linked a Submittal or RFI distributed for review from Procore will automatically appear within Newforma. After the review process is completed the reviewed Submittal or RFI will automatically be returned to Procore. The Connector completely eliminates double data entry or the need to manually transfer files from one system to another.

A MICRO-TESTIMONIAL / Q&A RESPONSE
Shortly after attending the live webinar on April 30, 2019, Jamie K. (an executive assistant at an architecture firm in Kansas City, MO) had reached out to us for some clarification…
JK | When I download files from Procore, they are all separated. Part of my workflow to get them into Newforma requires me to export “Cover page and all attachments” then, I combine them all for easy viewing. Is there a part of the integration tool that will combine the cover page and attachments sent by the contractor/trades people when it sends to Newforma?
Our response came directly from Chris Collins, Product Leader for the Newforma <> Procore CDX connector…
CC | The combined PDF generation feature in Procore is something we’ve discussed with Procore about making available in the API, but it has not been prioritized, yet. That said, the integration is flexible regarding attachments, adapting to looking at the Submittal General Section for attachments, and the Workflow history for attachments. We send files attached in the submittal general section and attachments from the most recent approver that has included any attachments. This has shown to be appropriate for many Architect teams to start their process.
And how did Jamie take the helpful, but less-than-ideal answer to her inquiry?
JK | Thank you so much! We are in the process of upgrading our Newforma server/systems to be able to adopt this integration. I am very excited to get this process set up and working for us. It will be a great time saver for our teams. I appreciate you hosting the webinar today and answering my questions, as they have helped me prepare for when we present this integration to our staff.
And to that I say, “you’re more than welcome, Jamie.” We’re always here to help
If you’re looking for a better way to tackle RFIs and Submittals, this integration could very well be the solution you need. We’d love to point you in the right direction, so hit the “Let’s Talk” button on the top-right to get the ball rolling!
